2020 has been a strange year, to say the least! Like most people, we have not been able to celebrate the year with our usual ‘Christmas party’. Instead we decided to opt for a more COVID-appropriate alternative and so, we spent a (very cold) Friday afternoon planting trees and litter picking in Boz Park, Bury, North Manchester. Throughout the afternoon, our team of seven planted 116 trees (about 16 trees each). We also shifted a fair amount of wood chippings.

In order to keep us warm and motivated, the City of Trees team provided plenty of delicious food and hot beverages. Ruth ensured that the day was made festive by providing mulled wine – an essential at this time of year (those who were driving stuck to the homemade hot chocolate)!

We would like to dedicate a thank you to the team at City of Trees who organised the event – it is definitely a day to remember.
