Graduate Town Planner

Prachi is due to complete her master’s in urban and Regional Planning from the University of Sheffield in September 2023. A qualified architect, before moving to the UK in 2022 she worked on an institutional and residential project with Foster + Partners in Mumbai, where she contributed to attaining a Platinum LEED Rating for the scheme.  She was later involved in a design research project collaborating with Thane Municipal Corporation under the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. On this project she helped to bridge the gap between city dwellers and food by designing a self-sustaining complex that offered business opportunities to the younger generation of farmers, retirees and people without formal education. This project  inspired her to specialise in Town Planning, focusing on the relationship between urban migration and infrastructure.

Something interesting: In her free time, Prachi is passionate about exploring the history of culinary traditions from India, as well as delving into the rich heritage of Indian textiles.
